Counseling & Spiritual Direction

Pastoral Minister Mildred LorchShort-term counseling for various needs is available from both Mildred Lorch, our pastoral minister emeritus, and Mother Gina.  Generally, people with long-term issues will be referred to a professional counseling service in the area in accordance with the need.

Spiritual direction, a process in which one receives ongoing guidance in one's Christian walk and prayer life, is also available from Mildred Lorch.  If you are not acquainted with the concept of spiritual direction and would like to find out more, visit the spiritual direction webpage at the Shalem Institute's website.

Confession, or the Rite of Reconciliation, is available from Mother Gina by appointment.  The strictest standards of confidentiality are observed.

Couples seeking to be married in the church will need to meet with Mother Gina for two to three sessions to plan the ceremony. Pre-marital counseling is also required.
