Healing and Prayer Ministries
Healing Service
A Healing Service may be offered by request. Please contact the office. Note: A Healing Service is a Eucharist and includes an opportunity to receive laying on of hands or anointing with oil from the clergy or lay pastoral minister, Mildred Lorch. When requested, the entire congregation is willing to lay hands on anyone needing it.
Prayer Chain
The Prayer Chain is a group of parishioners who pray in the course of their private devotions for people who request it, both within and outside the parish. To make a prayer request, contact the church office or the coordinator, Anne Cousar, who will forward the request via e-mail to the the people on the Prayer Chain. New "pray-ers" for the Chain are always welcome, so don't hesitate to volunteer!
Prayer Partners
The Prayer Partners are parishioners who pray for those in particular need during the 10 AM Sunday Eucharist. They stand to the left of the sanctuary during Holy Communion. Anyone needing prayer is encouraged to approach with his or her request. We are always looking for new Prayer Partners, so speak to Deacon Jane if you are interested.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors
Lay Eucharistic Visitors bring Holy Communion, as well as encouragement and support, to those who are sick and/or shut in. LEVs need to receive diocesan training before serving. Those interested in becoming LEVs should contact Deacon Jane or Pat Anderson, so that training can be arranged.
